Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of all natural living. Certainly by no means am I a natural living fanatic, but I do try to practice healthy living when possible. Lately I’ve been really into using essential oils for aromatherapy purposes around the home. I received the URPOWER 500ml Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser for Christmas along with the Best of the Best Aromatherapy Gift Set by Eden’s Garden to get me started.
First of all, I really am loving this diffuser. It’s incredibly easy to use and it holds up to 500 ml so just one refill can last practically all day long. It has three different time settings (60, 120 or 180 minutes), but I prefer to set my on the auto-off setting that way it stays on until the tank is almost empty. I also like that I can use this diffuser as a soothing nightlight. You can set it to slowly change colors or you can set it on just one color of your choosing. I tend to prefer to glowing blue color, aqua or pink.
As for the essential oils gift set for beginners, I couldn’t be happier. This set is exactly what I was looking for! The sleek little black box houses a total of twelve 10ml bottles containing various 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils that are commonly used for aromatherapy. (Cinnamon Leaf, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Patchouli, Peppermint, Rosemary Spearmint, Sweet Orange and Tea Tree Oil)
Here are a few of my favorite aromatherapy essential oil blends you should consider giving a try in your own diffuser:
(Note that these blends are used in a 500 ml tank as most diffusers only offer a capacity of 50-300ml. Please adjust accordingly.)
An uplifting citrus-y blend for days you are in need of a quick pick-me-up.
- 5-8 drops Lemon
- 5-8 drops Lime
- 3-5 drops Sweet Orange
- 3-5 drops Grapefruit
An earthy blend that invigorates the senses.
- 8-10 drops Rosemary
- 8-10 drops Peppermint
- 3-5 drops Tea Tree
Put this blend in your diffuser to relax before bedtime.
- 10-12 drops Lavender
- 5-8 drops Sweet Orange
- 3-5 drops Patchouli
Do you use an aromatherapy diffuser around your home or office? If so, what are some of your favorite essential oil blends? I would love to hear some of your suggestions and try them out in my new diffuser!
