Labor day is the “unofficial” end of summer and start of the fall season, so now that it’s come and gone, bring on the crisp weather, football, pumpkin spiced everything, and one of my fashion favorites… riding boots! Although I do love my summer flip flops and sandals, each pair of boots I have holds a special place near and dear to me and I can’t wait to bring them out every year. Riding boots are one of my favorite fall fashion must haves because they’re timeless and they make any outfit cute and casual at the same time. My favorite way to wear my boots is over pair of skinny jeans or under a sweater dress with tights. Add your favorite scarf to complete the look! These days I have about 6 pairs of riding boots in different styles and colors and I try to add a new pair to the bunch at least once a year. Because I’m so frugal minded I could never imagine spending over about $250 on a pair of shoes for myself so I’ve been looking for pretty riding boots that looks expensive but aren’t. Here are my top 10 picks for new boots to add to my closet that I’ve come across so far. Do you have any suggestions for my list? Let me know!
I usually don’t wear black boot so I’ve been considering easing myself into trying something different with a pair of riding boots that have both colors like the Vince Camuto Women’s Beatrix Harness Boot in “russet” which has a blackened ombre toe or these smashing Lauren Ralph Lauren Women’s Jaden Leather Riding Boots in black and tan.
I normally like to keep it simple and most of the time I prefer boots that have a smooth panel with little or no embellishment or buckles but there are quite a few with buckles that I’m eyeing like the Madden Girl Women’s Cactuswc Equestrian Boot which has a buckle around the ankle and a zipper with studs all up the back or Anne Klein Women’s Coldfeet Leather Riding Boot with a side zipper and a double ankle buckle.
The Naturalizer Women’s Juletta Riding Boot is also a front runner on my wish list because they’re shoes are always really comfortable without skimping out on the style as well as Bandolino Women’s Countless Riding Boot with a sexy heel and buckles.
Boots in tan and cognac shades are what my eye is tends to gravitate to but I sure do like some darker colored stompers like the Tommy Hilfiger Women’s Sienna Riding Boot and the popular Steve Madden Women’s Trysst Engineer Boot.
Two others that I am considering are the Nine West Women’s Counter Boot and the Jessica Simpson Women’s JS-Chad Riding Boot which has a cute 2″ heel and a square toe.
Riding boots are a must have fall fashion accessory because they’re stylish, versatile and hold up even in the coldest weather. I usually wear mine through fall, winter, and even spring . Don’t judge me. :p
* Those are my top 10 considerations for new fall riding boots but IF I had unlimited funds, the first two pairs of riding boots I would definitely buy would be the fabulous FRYE Women’s Melissa Logo Boot and the glamorous Tory Burch Teresa Almond Riding Boot!
Do you own any of these or similar riding boots? Drop me a comment and tell me what your favorite way to wear them is!
